Chaenorrhinum origanifolium is a plant which has recently grown in popularity. It is a short (6"), spreading plant suitable for a rockery or scree, with tiny rounded dark green leaves which are purple underneath. Throughout spring and summer, it produces small spires of tiny mauve or purple flowers with yellow throats.

Its common name of Dwarf Snapdragon is misleading, as it has no pouch or mouth.
