Lathyrus pratensis

Lathyrus pratensis is like a small version of our garden Sweet Pea, with thin stems clambering through other plants to a height of up to 3', with pairs of narrow pointed leaves joined to the stem with arrow-shaped stipules and ending in thin tendrils. The bright yellow flowers are in upright clusters on long stalks. It is common in grassy places, hedgerows and sometimes gardens.
