Brachycome iberidifolia is an elegant little daisy useful for ground cover during the summer months. It has very finely divided foliage, and neat daisies in white, pinks, blues, mauves and purples, sometimes with a yellow and sometimes with a black centre.

There is no seedpod. The seeds are tightly set together in a rounded ball with a few of the old petals remaining round the edge.

Seed

There are many small flat greyish seeds on the seedhead.

Seedling

The seedling is small, with long, narrow seedleaves, and only slightly toothed first true leaves.

Summer: Seeds sown inside in summer germinated in 8 days.
Winter:    Seeds sown inside in winter germinated in 7 days.
