Limnanthes douglasii is a neat little plant suitable for the front of the border, or in the rockery. It has divided leaves, with scented white flowers with a yellow centre, or yellow flowers with brown lines down the petals, throughout summer.

There is no seedpod. The seeds sit in the centre of the calyx and fall when they are ripe.

The seeds are dark brown woody drops. Each flower produces five seeds.

The seedleaves are rounded with a long stalk. The first true leaves are finely divided.

Spring: Seeds sown outside in spring germinated in 29 days.
